ZT 0454
Winner of 2013 Blade Show "Overall Knife of the Year!"
It started with Dmitry Sinkevich's awe-inspiring Cardinator. And then ZT took it to a whole new level. First: the blade. The 0454 has a three-part Composite Blade. That's CPM D2 on the cutting edge and spine and 14C28N forming the angular design in the middle. It's big, too, coming in a little over four inches. This remarkable Composite Blade is paired with 3D-machined carbon fiber handles that are lightweight, yet incredibly strong. For reliable blade lockup, the 0454's Sub-Frame Lock has a titanium lockbar with hardened stainless steel lockbar insert. The blade opens with a flipper and moves on the KVT ball-bearing system. Strong blade detent gives the opening a powerful, professional feel. Every detail of the 0454 is sculpted--from pocket clip to backspacer. A decorative, oversized pivot is the final touch on this impressive knife.
For over ten years, Dmitry Sinkevich has been making knives that incorporate intelligent design, state-of-the-art materials, and have a strong emphasis on quality, fit and finish. With Zero Tolerance's own dedication to innovation, premium materials, and tank-like quality, the collaboration between ZT and Dmitry was a natural fit. Dmitry thinks of his knives as practical tools as well as works of art--and seeing his work, we'd have to agree.
